When you know you "WHY" you have sense of clarity, direction and meaning. It it provides you with the motivation you need to push through the roadblocks you come across on your journey to achieving your dreams.
However sometimes you may struggle to find a strong enough why that will keep you strong during the tough times.
So here are a few ways to figure it out.
When you are looking to figure out your " WHY ", you need to look at a few different things.
Look at the bigger picture.
Don't just look at the superficial "I want to make more money, I want to be rich."
Let's be real for a second! We ALL want to make money and feel financially secure!
But you have to dig deeper.
Why do you want to make more money, why do you want to be rich?
What will having that financial overflow and financial freedom in your life create?
Is it because you want to be able to stay home with your kids? It is because you want to be able to quit your job and follow your passion?
Look at who you are doing it for.
Who are you creating this reality for other than yourself?
When your reason is more selfish and focused solely on yourself and not helping others it won't keep you strong enough to push through the hard times.
The reason for this is, as humans, we are good at letting ourselves down by giving ourselves excuses not to do things or procrastinate on things. However, when we are doing it to benefit someone else like our children, our parents, our spouse we are more likely to push forward as we don't want to let those people down.
Revisit your history.
Throughout your life you would have had a why when you have done anything.
Your greatest successes in life have had a WHY and so have your greatest failures.
So examine what those why's were and see how they pulled you through the tough times. Also see what WHY's brought you your " failures". That will help you determine what your WHY is and ensure that you find one that is strong enough to provide you with the success you need.
